Christmas Card again ???

Yep! Even though my creative juice is running low... I must persevere(I only have 3 more weeks to go). I actually struggled quite a bit on this week Kazan's sketch 12 at 2S4Y. I stared at the sketch and my mind goes BLANK. What should I do?

So, I browsed through all the cards created by all the talented ladies at 2K4Y.... their cards are so amazing.... (ok, some ideas are coming through)

Secondly, I visited some of my favourite blogs for inspiration... these ladies are so talented and inspiring... (now, I have put together some patterned papers... but how about elements ????)

Thirdly, I flipped through my some of my fave scrapbooking magazines like Scrapbook Etc, Scrapbook Creations and Creating Keepsakes...(alright, these are what I have... trying to put it altogether) and.........
finally, this is my card for this week... (I felt relief and great sense of achievement)

I pray that God will continue to lead and guide me not only in cardmaking but in my everyday life. I want to thank you, Nancy@ Preserving Memories blog for somehow leading me to this blog : Faith Sisters. It is a wonderful blog by Karma, Michelle and Sunny and I'm especially inspired by the weekly Scripture Card Challenge by Patter Cross. Each week she posts a word and we are challenged to make a ATC size card with that week's word on top and a verse from the bible with that word in it or the meaning of that word. It has been running for 45 weeks and this week's word is CROSS. I'm going to try on this and you can too. So, pop over to Faith Sisters and get spiritually inspired.

Bye bye for now and have a enjoyable week ahead!

Double Dutch Challenge #4

I accidentally found this blog - Double Dutch Challenge which has new challenges every 2 weeks. It is formed by these 4 Dutch ladies: Erica, Moon, Jolanda, Sandra and their works are beautiful and their stamping are gorgeous. You should pop over to their blog and check it out. You can find it here : http://www.doubledutchchallenges.blogspot.com/

This week challenge DDC#4 Pick and Choose
We are to pick three techniques from this list and use them in my card:
1. Embossing
2. Doodling
3. Sanding
4. Distressing
5. Stitching
6. Tearing
7. Painting
8. Stamping
9. Punching
10. Embellishment making

I thought it would be good to combine this challenge with this week 2S4Y Laura's sketch together and here is my card :

The technique I used : punching, tearing (tearing red cardstock at the JOY embellishment) and embellishment making.
Happy Thursday!
Thank you so much for being here!

It's 2S4Y sketch challenge again.....

and this week sketch is by Kazan. Oh! I just love all the cards that are done by her and her great design team. So sad :( that this design team is ending this week and the new winter team is coming up soon. I can't wait to meet the new team but will surely miss this present team. The present team has given me so much inspiration and I hope I will still see their work at 2K4Y. I sincerely wish them all the best in their future creative journey.

I have been doing quite a bit in this week. I did a Halloween card and a Christmas card using Kazan's sketch. In Singapore, Halloween isn't celebrated much here therefore this is the very first time a did a card on it. Here is my take :
The purple Halloween pp was done using the Adobe Photoshop software, all the wordings and and pictures were downloaded free from some scrapbooking websites. As for the skull, the template I used is from this amazing magazine I read often.... Scrapbooks etc. (website : Scrapbooksetc.com). Isn't the SKULL cute! Instead of the tradition colours, I chose a more girly palette - pink, gray, purple and black and the swirl is topped with light purple glitters which didn't show up well.
The 2nd card is this Christmas card :
I love these pp - Basic Grey, Anna Griffin, Pink Paislee, it just gives me the feeling of white Christmas which I dream of very often. I added a punched snow flake, glittered it to gave it a sparkle and topped with a gem on top of the Christmas tree. Lastly, I stamped it and added rub-on "Merry Christmas" with a green ribbon to complete my card.
Last but not least, I did another Christmas card for my Christmas sales. I actually did this last Sunday night and when I saw the bonus sketch by Joke I was surprised that it is also a round card.
Here is my card :

I used Flair design pp, Queen's Co felt, Autumn Leaves stamp, EK Success Adnornaments fibers and punched, glittered mini flowers. I had fun with it and like it.

I wish everyone a fantastic Saturday and great weekend.

Thanks for coming to my blog.
