3D Design Challenge #2

This week challenge is milk carton. You can find it here : http://3d-designchallenge.blogspot.com/2008/08/2468-box-challenge-gallery-winner-and.html.

I'm feeling a bit of Christmas mood here because it has been raining quite heavily for the past few days. The weather is cooling just like what we will experience around December....Christmas time.

So it give me an idea to create something for Christmas and this is what I have come out with .... I thought it can be hung on Christmas tree with some treats like chocolates and sweets in it. I will make a few more and I think my children will like it.

I am really happy to see these.....

I have been feeling a bit of ....gloomy (nope not really).....puzzled(what could possibly went wrong)....disappointed(is it really that bad) for the past week.

I am referring to my blog. I have not received any comment from any of my submissions.

Truly, I am not looking for praises but rather I am thinking ... is my blog working....because I am worried that some viewers may like to comment but are unable to do so, due to some of the restriction I have imposed which I may not be awared of.

However, today all my worries is gone. I saw 5 comments on my dashboard. When I opened it .... I saw comments.....and all encouraging comments. Thanks you ladies...you make my day.

As I mentioned earlier, I am not looking for praises but rather to be able to share my creation. I welcome all sorts of comments - even constructive because comments can help me improve and create more.

I will keep trying and do my best.TFL

CA 2 Exam is over

Phew ! Exam is finally over..... I have been quite busy for the week preparing both my children's CA2. Though it is not the final exam but I think it is still very important for them to try their best in each exam.

Now, I can loosen up a bit. I can relax and create.....As I had promised earlier, here is my submission for this week challenge @2Sketches4You.

I also love the bonus sketch, so I did this.

Thank you Kanzan and Laura for the sketches....it really gives me inspiration to create. I'm so thrilled to see next week sketch.... you are fantastic ladies.

2 Sketches 4 You

I am all so excited about this week card challenge @ 2 Sketches 4 You because the sketches are so fabulous. Those gals are awesome and their cards are so beautiful. They are all so talented and they really inspire me to create also.

A few weeks back, I wanted to submit for their challenge but then I still does not have a blog and so miss the chance. Now that I have set up my blog, I have no excuse for not creating one to submit.

Here is Kanzan's sketch 7 : )

This is bonus sketch from Ingrid :)

I will post my card later.

2468 Template Challenge

I love to make cards for friends and relatives whenever I can since I started scrapbooking in 2004. Here are some of the cards I had made:

As I am still learning on how to manage my blog, once I figure out on how to do it, I will post all my cards on the blog. I will appreicate it very much if there is anyone who will advice me.

Today, while I was browsing 2s4y...thinking I should take up this week challenge and randomly clicking some of the cards already submitted. I came across Pamela Smerker's blog : Paper a Skew and 3-D Design Challenge.

So instead of doing up a card, I took up the 3-D Design Challenge and came up with this.

I love doing this and I think it turn quite ok so I decided to made a few more as gifts for my friends. I filled each box with Hershey kisses wrapped in a bag. Hopefully, my friends will like them.

As Teachers' Day is coming very soon. I think I will make some more of these boxes for my children's teachers to show them our gratitude for their efforts.

This is a new beginning

Today is a new beginning for me because I started my very own blog. I am someone who is not good with words and I hope that this blogging will help me to pen down different experiences and emotions that I encounter in my everyday life.

I am a homemaker with 2 great kids, my daughter - Gilliah 9yrs this November and my son - Joen 7yrs this October. Gilliah is Primary 3 and she attends the morning sessions while Joen is Primary 1 and he attends the afternoon sessions. Both of them attend Chong Zheng Primary School.

My everyday routine - wake up about 5.30 am, get my daughter ready before 7 am and send to school. Then, I will go to market to buy all the necessary groceries for a day or two. By 7.40 am, I must be home so that my husband can go to work. At about 9 am I will assist my son with his school work and in between doing my house chores and preparing for lunch. Busy, busy, busy....... until 11.45 am get my son ready for school. Then at 1.25pm here I go again.....back to school to fetch my daughter home. The rest of the afternoon will be coaching my daughter in her school work and continue my chores and chores........ never ending chores. At about 5 pm, I start to prepare for dinner, get it done by 6.15 pm and fetch my son from school.

By about 7 to 7.15 pm, my DH will be home and we will sit down for dinner. We will chat what happen during the day over our dinner. After dinner, clearing table, washing dishes and wiping up the tabletop and I am done at the kitchen. By then my energy has almost been depleted.

Now is the time for me to relax.....into my computer table where I scrap or browse my magazines. This helps me to unwind from a routine day.

I started scrapbooking after I accidentally bumped into Made With Love. It sells many different patterned papers and embellishments which I have never seen it anywhere in Singapore. It displayed albums of beautiful layouts which captivate my soul and spirit. I was never a art person but since scrapbooking I have learnt to appreciate and interested in ART. Everyday, I am learning and hope to put it to good use. That is it for today.... will continue again tomorrow.
